Frequently Asked Questions
FAQ
What are your hours of operation?
We're open Monday to Saturday from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Our last grooming appointments are scheduled by 3:00 PM to ensure our groomers have enough time to complete each groom with the care and attention your pet deserves.
How far in advance should I book?
We are typically booked 4–8 weeks in advance. If you'd like to stay on a consistent grooming schedule, ask us about booking recurring appointments throughout the year. Click here to book online
What's the best way to book an appointment?
The easiest way to book is through our online booking system, where you can view available appointments and choose a time that works best for you. You can also call or text us at (705) 444-5858, and our reception team will be happy to help.
What if I need a specific date that's already full?
Give us a call or send us a text at (705) 444-5858. We may be able to adjust our schedule or add you to our cancellation list for your preferred day.
Do you groom dogs with behavioural challenges?
Yes. We welcome dogs with a variety of behavioural needs and will do our best to make their grooming experience as calm and stress-free as possible while ensuring the safety of both your pet and our team.
If your dog is reactive, anxious, or has shown aggressive behaviour in the past, please let us know when booking. This allows us to prepare appropriately and provide the safest experience possible. In rare cases where a groom becomes unsafe, the groomer may stop the service at their discretion.
Do I need an appointment for a nail trim?
No appointment is necessary. Nail trims are available as a walk-in service for $15.
Why was my dog's coat shaved instead of left long?
Our priority is always your dog's comfort and well-being. If a coat is severely matted, shaving may be the safest and most humane option. Attempting to brush out heavy matting can be painful and may damage your dog's skin.
For mild matting, your groomer may be able to brush it out depending on its severity and your dog's tolerance. If your dog does require a shave-down, don't worry—hair grows back! We'll also be happy to recommend the best brushes and home care routine to help prevent matting in the future.
Do I always need an appointment?
Not for our Self-Serve Dog Wash. No appointment is required. We'll provide everything you need, including shampoo, conditioner, brushes, towels, and high-velocity dryers, so you can bathe your dog yourself.
Do you offer breed-specific grooming styles?
Yes. Our experienced groomers are skilled in a variety of breed-specific trims and styling techniques, with each groomer bringing their own areas of expertise. If you're looking for a particular style, our reception team can recommend the groomer best suited for your dog's needs.
How much does grooming cost?
Grooming prices vary based on your dog's individual needs. Base pricing is determined by your dog's size, with additional factors including:
Coat condition
Behaviour and handling requirements
Coat length
Haircut style and complexity
If you'd like an estimate, please contact us, we're happy to help!
How often should my dog be groomed?
Regular grooming helps maintain healthy skin and coat while preventing matting. We generally recommend grooming every 8 weeks, although some breeds and coat types benefit from more frequent visits. Your groomer will recommend a schedule that's best suited to your dog's individual needs.
